David Attenborough, turning 99, addresses nearing ‘end of his life’

Sir David Attenborough is reflecting on his life in a new documentary about the health of the world’s ocean.
Attenborough will turn 99 years old on May 9 as he prepares to celebrate his birthday admitting that he is "nearing the end of his life," the Express.co.uk reported.
He has been on television for 80 years and discussed his future while filming "Ocean with David Attenborough," which will be released on Disney+ later in 2025.
Attenborough explained in part in the new documentary that "Now, as I approach the end of my life, we know the opposite is true. After living for nearly a hundred years on this planet, I now understand that the most important place on Earth is not on land, but at sea."

David Attenborough is a well-known documentarian and biologist who has done extensive work on the world and the threats it faces because of climate change, according to Metro.co.uk. He also worked as a controller of BBC Two, where he oversaw the first ever-color broadcasts in Europe.
According to the BBC, Attenborough has been considered the voice of natural history programs for the past 70 years.

Attenborough even has animals, plant species and a constellation named after him. He’s traveled across the world creating interest for viewers in the natural world.
